Welcome to Bayview Rest Home. Our home has been in operation for over forty years serving the needs of senior citizens from all over the New York area. We pride ourselves in offering individualized care to all our residents. We are a family operation, and we think of all our residents as family.

Here at Bayview, the past year has been one of building. We have added a new luxurious wing to our facility to serve our growing clientele. We are a 75 bed facility located in beautiful Babylon Village on the south shore. We are within walking distance to local shops, houses of worship, parks, libraries, etc.

Bayview Rest Home is small enough for a truly homelike atmosphere and large enough to be a very comfortable place in which to live. Our kitchen is equipped to supply the needs of each resident. Well-planned menus, together with special diets are prepared under the supervision of experienced dieticians. The rear of the home contains the dining and recreation rooms. Ramps have been provided for convenient entrance or exit or when wheelchairs are required.

24 HOUR SUPERVISION

The feeling of safety and security is important. Nurses aides are on duty 24 hours daily. Intercom systems are on each floor with an easily accessible buzzer in every room.

* Doctors are on call, plus monthly visits

* Podiatrist once a month

* Medication dispensed according to doctor's instructions

* Personal needs attended to including baths, shopping, hairsetting and whatever is required

STATE OF THE ART FIRE SYSTEM AND OTHER FIRE SAFEGUARDS ARE INSTALLED

Enjoy our large recreation room where many of our social functions are held.

The dining room affords comfortable seating for all residents. It can also quickly convert into a game or meeting area. Entertainment by cooperating groups are generally held here.

RECREATIONAL PROGRAMS

Programmed activities are planned to keep minds and bodies healthfully alert and active. They include games, crafts, exercise sessions, discussion groups, occupational therapy, movies, bazaars and bus trips. Monthly birthday party celebrations with professional entertainment. Individual instruction given to guests in their own rooms if desired.
