INSIDE THE BUILDING
A lounge equipped with a big screen TV is available to the residents. A state of the art computer lab is available with internet access.
Inside the building, residents will be provided use of:
- A laundry room with coin operated washers and dryers which is located on the second floor for residents' convenience.
- A recreation room in the basement with games and a pool table
- A state of the art computer lab with internet access
- A lounge and recreation room which available for daily use or can be reserved for celebrations, social gatherings, family events or etc.
- An outdoor patio which is accessible by stairs or lift, to accommodate those who may prefer it. The patio, furnished with tables and chairs, gives a garden atmosphere in the center of the city.
- Two passenger elevators are located in the first floor elevator lobby to serve all eight floors. A freight elevator is located at the rear of the building. Stairways are located near both elevators.
- All corridors are carpeted and have handrails

About Covenant Manor Apartments...
- Each apartment has a large living/dining area with wall-to-wall carpeting.
- Full bathrooms which include showers in the tubs
- Kitchens have attractive wood cabinets and formica-topped counters as well as stainless steal sinks. Refrigerators and electric stoves are furnished.
- Bedrooms are good size with ample closet space. Additional storage space is available in a secured area of the building.
- Each apartment has an emergency call system located in the bedroom and bathroom
- All apartments are air conditioned.
The apartments are located on the second floor and rise to the eighth floor. The size and layout of the apartments vary somewhat. Generally, single persons will occupy the slightly smaller ones and couples or two people will occupy the larger ones. Covenant Manor hosts 85 one-bedroom apartments and 2 two-bedroom apartments. Of this number, 8 apartments are designed for handicapped.
FREQUENTLY ASK QUESTIONS
Who is Eligible?
- Single persons, 62 years of age or more.
- Married couples, provided that one is at least age 62.
- Two relatives, both having reached age 62.
- Persons under age 62, provided they qualify for Social Security.
In order to qualify, applicant's income must meet certain limits:
-The applicant must be in acceptable physical condition for his or her age and be able to dress and care for ordinary personal needs.
-Must pass Social Security number verification check.
-Must be a U.S. citizen or an eligible non-citizen
What will the rent be?
The rent will generally be 30% of the resident's income. The federal government pays the owners the difference between what the resident pays and the HUD approved monthly rent.
What about utilities?
- Apartments have hot water heat
- Heat and water are included in your rent
- Electric, telephone, and TV related costs are responsible to the resident
What about parking?
Free parking is provided and is available in our second street parking lot.
