Judd Apartments - Independent Living
The Judd building was built in 1869 by John A. & Catherine Folts. Ownership of the mansion and property was transferred to the Northern New York Conference of the Methodist Church. The property was to be used for the advancement of Christian education of male and female young people, who through a lack of personal funds, were unable to further their education.
Between the years 1940-1943, the Northern New York Conference of the Methodist Church decided to establish a Home for the senior members of the church. Rev. Albert G. Judd and his wife, Irene, were chosen to oversee the renovation of the Folts Mansion in preparation for the opening of the Folts Home for the Aged. The first guests were admitted to Folts Home for the Aged. The name of the original Folts dwelling was changed to The Judd Building in 1948, in honor of the work of Rev. and Mrs. Judd.
Currently, The Judd Building operates independent apartments. These apartments are for senior living, offering an array of ammenities to those who live there. Each apartment is equipped with a kitchen, living room, bedroom, bath, and shower. A full list of amenities include:

Therapeutic Recreation
Folts Homes Therapeutic Recreation Director and staff provide activities to keep residents socially and physically fit. Monthly calendars are filled with activities held within the Folts Homes campus and off campus.
Outings are planned and all family members are informed of events so they may have the opportunity to participate.
Activities include: Computer lab, community outings, evening & weekend programs, special events, resident led programs, and other recreational programs.
