Village Center

The Village Center will be the hub of community life, with areas for dining, dancing, entertainment, creative arts or simply meeting friends for cocktails or a cup of coffee. On the main level, dining takes center stage with both casual and formal restaurants. Grab a salad or sandwich in the Marketplace. Select from a mouthwatering menu of delicious and healthy entrees in the Village restaurant. Or, invite family and friends for that special celebration in the tastefully furnished private dining room.

Dining

Dining at Good Shepherd Village will be an experience in itself. Residents will be able to choose between a more formal dining experience or the casual Village Pub which will feature lighter fare. Unlike many retirement communities that require residents to take a certain number of meals a week, Good Shepherd Village will feature an innovative dining program that will give residents a dining “allowance” which can be spent on meals, catering services, takeout service, prepared foods or raw food items, guest meals, and more. This dining plan will give residents utmost flexibility while assuring the ability of Good Shepherd Village to maintain a quality dining program.

As a Continuing Care Retirement Community licensed by the State of New York, Good Shepherd Village at Endwell will offer a range of services and programs designed to keep residents healthy and active for as long as possible. Services covered by your monthly fee include

Health Care

For over a century, The Good Shepherd Fairview Home has provided quality health care to older adults in the Greater Binghamton area. That same quality and reputation for care will now be extended to Good Shepherd Village at Endwell. As a fee for service Continuing Care Retirement Community, Good Shepherd Village at Endwell will provide both assisted living and nursing care for residents of Good Shepherd Village as well as memory care services for those with Alzheimer’s or other memory impairments. Residents may access these services on a temporary or permanent basis as needed. As a resident of Good Shepherd Village at Endwell, you will have priority access to these levels of care on a fee for service basis, meaning you pay only for the care you need, when you need it.


Living Options

Good Shepherd Village will feature both cottages and apartment homes so you can choose the setting that best suits your lifestyle. Prefer the convenience of having everything all under one roof? Then choose from among four different apartment floor plans – up to 1250 square feet - featuring one or two bedrooms with master baths, full kitchens, walk-in closets and in-unit washer and dryer. An enclosed walkway will connect apartments to the Village Center so you can walk to dining, activities, exercise and more without worrying about the weather!

Or choose a spacious two bedroom cottage from 1,350 to 1,800 square feet and featuring a master bedroom and bath suite, walk-in closets, laundry area, fully-equipped kitchen and open living and dining areas perfect for entertaining family and friends. A covered front porch will greet guests at the front door while a rear deck will overlook spectacular views of the rolling hillside. Attached garages offer additional storage space.


Site Plan

Good Shepherd Village at Endwell will be located on 120 rolling acres at the cross roads of Sally Piper and Farm to Market Roads in Endwell (Broome County), New York. The vast acreage allows for a peaceful country setting that's close to shopping, restaurants, doctor's offices and other important services. The Good Shepherd Village site plan is thoughtfully designed and "terraced" for optimal views. The spectacular property overlooks one of the area's most scenic golf courses, Endwell Greens, and is just minutes from major highways.

The Cottage homes are looped around a private interior road which will have no access for through traffic. It is a short walk or drive to visit neighbors or to go to the Village Center facilities without the use of public highways. The Apartment homes are designed in a U shaped building with a lovely interior courtyard. The apartment homes are connected to the Village Center providing indoor access to a marketplace with choice of dining venues, recreation, and a variety of social opportunities.

The site development will leave much of the property in its "natural" state with large wooded areas for outdoor enjoyment. Our detailed landscaping will accent the natural land as shown in the two water retention ponds with plantings that will attract a variety of birds and wildlife.
