Admission Requirements

All applicants, with the exception of those applying for handicapped admission, must be 62 years of age or older. In the case of a married couple, at least one spouse must meet the age requirement.

Handicapped individuals of any age may be eligible for residency. For the purposes of HUD housing, a handicap is defined as a disabling condition of long duration, or of a substantial impediment to the individual’s physical ability to live independently, but which would be alleviated by living in the facility as opposed to the individual’s present living situation.

Individual or family income must be within the prescribed limits established by HUD.

All applicants must accept the terms of a written lease and related building regulations prescribed by United Methodist Homes and HUD. Admission to the Homes is open to all seniors regardless of religious affiliation, race, color, sex, handicap or source of payment.
