Welcome to The Landing of Brockport where we provide assisted living for seniors who want to maintain as much independence as possible. All of our services are tailored to our residents' individual needs, and their loved ones will have peace of mind knowing that they'll get all the personalized care they need.


APARMENTS

Apartments have
- Large picture windows
- Walk-in showers with seats and handheld showerheads
- Pull-cord emergency systems in bedroom and bathroom
- Wall-to-wall carpeting
- Kitchen (one-bedroom apartments) or kitchenette (studio) with refrigerator and microwave
- Telephone, Internet and cable television access
- Tenant-controlled heating and cooling units
- Ample closet space
- Full building generator

- Deluxe one-bedroom

Common areas

On the main floor there is a
- Living room with a fireplace and a baby grand piano
- Formal dining room where residents take their meals
- Private dining room for family gatherings
- Activity room
- Wellness center with exercise equipment

On the second floor there is a
- Library
- Beauty salon/barbershop
- Laundry room (residents' laundry is done for them but they are welcome to use the laundry room)
- Television lounge

Each residential wing has a common area for socializing.


Grounds

The grounds are beautifully landscaped with trees, shrubs and flowers to provide residents a scenic, serene environment that will encourage them to spend time outdoors. Benches are placed at regular intervals so residents do not have to worry about tiring when they venture out for a stroll. Covered patios with wicker furniture in the front of the facility are ideal for visiting with other residents or entertaining guests. The back of the building overlooks a pond and wooded area that are home to area wildlife.


SERVICES

The monthly rental charge includes the following services:

- Three meals served restaurant style each day in the dining room
- Weekly housekeeping, laundry and linen service
- Scheduled transportation to appointments and activities
- Daily recreational activities
- Utilities (except telephone and cable TV)
- 24-hour emergency response system
- Licensed nurses to monitor and coordinate care

The monthly rental charge also includes:
FlexAssist I
- Medication management and distribution
- Occasional assistance with scheduling medical appointments and coordinating transportation
- Limited assistance with bathing, dressing and grooming
- Occasional reminders about dining and recreational activities

Residents who need further assistance may purchase another FlexAssist package or design their own care plans. Please contact the home to discuss each of the FlexAssist packages in detail.


Activities

The Landing has a host of daily activities including exercise classes, bingo games, arts and crafts projects and sing-alongs. There are also frequent outings to local museums, movies, restaurants, concerts and outdoor events. The Landing also has several groups and clubs that are open to the community including a book club, a bible study group and various support groups. A residents' council meets monthly to determine, among other issues, what kinds of groups and clubs should be launched.
